Mid-Cheshire Mind manages an informal drop in centre for people who have had or are currently suffering from mental health problems.

Mid-Cheshire Mind is a registered charity affiliated to National Mind. The original Winsford group was formed in 1984 and is now based in the centre of the town making it accessible to many local people.

They believe that given the right support every person has the capacity to make changes in their lives. There are many ways in which talking can help, and they particularly value informal approaches such as self-help groups, and conversations with other service users and staff – all opening up fresh horizons and new potential paths forward.

Technoprint received a lovely letter of thanks from the team at Mid-Cheshire Mind saying:

“On behalf of everyone at Mid Cheshire Mind I would like to thank you all for your kind donation. It was a lovely surprise and will go towards the day to day running costs of the group. Mid Cheshire Mind is affiliated to National Mind but we are then totally independent and we fundraise constantly to deliver the unique local service.”

Our next chosen charity

Technoprint is thrilled to announce that will now be raising money for Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group.  We have set ourselves the target of raising £1,800 for this amazing local charity, by raffling an Easter hamper, taking part in a sponsored cycle event, putting our best foot forward for the Winsford 10K run, and also raffling a Christmas hamper.

Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer is a patient-led group, holding bi-monthly meetings, social events, and regular PSA testing sessions in Cheshire.

The group started in 2000 to offer support and advice to men (and their families) who have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.  It was founded by our former Chairman the late Gary Steele MBE.

The support group has a close association with Leighton Hospital near Crewe.  Over the years their fund raising efforts have provided equipment for use within the hospital, and it is at Leighton where our bi-monthly meetings are held.
