Community matters – how Technoprint gets involved
minute read
At Technoprint, we consider ourselves active participants of the Winsford community, and like to get involved in as many ways as we can. From providing apprenticeships to supporting local charities, it’s always been important to us to give back. As we have been fortunate enough to ride through the pandemic without much disruption, we want to give as much as possible to societies, charities and sports teams in need of a little extra support.
We were pleased to announce our recent support of local sports teams by providing kits and defibrillators to a number of clubs across the local area. Our sponsorship comes as many local sports clubs financially struggle due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
We now sponsor the Winsford Colts FC U14’s away kit, who are in the second division of the Mid Cheshire league after narrowly missing out on promotion last year. This year the team has a perfect record of 6 wins out of 6.
We have also begun sponsoring the training tops of Winsford Diamonds FC U’13’s who are in their 3rd season and are in Division 2 of the Mid Cheshire league. Last year they finished 6th which was a great result as they were competing against some tough opposition.
We have supplied defibrillators to the Winsford Colts FC U’13s and Winsford Diamonds U’14s for some time now, and are now extending our supply to include the Winsford Diamonds U’10s.
We also supply defibs to the Runcorn ABC Boxing Club, a Murdishaw-based non-profit who encourage local Runcorn adults and children to lead healthier lifestyles, make friends and get active with the help of volunteers in the boxing club, as well as the promotion of their ‘Drop the Knife’ campaign.
Technoprint supply the defibrillators at a cost of £1 per day each and also arrange for them to be regularly serviced.
Alan Ryan, Managing Director of Technoprint, comments: “In these difficult times we felt it was important to support local sports clubs as they play such an important role in providing a safe and fun outlet for local kids. As a local business, a number of our employees and their families are involved with local sports clubs and so we’re delighted to help these popular clubs and the wider community in which we work, live and play.”
